Scot Evans leads Cinematic Media as its chief executive. His current priorities are to grow its portfolio of services, broaden ties with studios and the global production community, and strengthen its position as a leader in Latin America in entertainment post-production. Scot brings more than 25 years of executive experience and has managed large-scale post-production operations in the U.S., Mexico and elsewhere.
Prior to co-founding Cinematic Media in 2017, Scot served as Executive Vice President for Business Development at Technicolor PostWorks New York. His background also includes senior leadership roles with MPC, Mexico City, Technicolor, Vancouver, and Virgin Television, Mexico. He has designed, built and managed several boutique facilities. In addition, he has served in varying production capacities on projects for Warner Brothers, Universal, Fox, Disney, Paramount, NBC, ABC, CBS, HBO and Netflix, among others.
Arturo oversees post-production operations for television and cinema. His role is to ensure the facility maintains its standards for technical excellence and meets its clients’ creative goals.
A 20-year industry veteran, Arturo has been involved in post-production for thousands of hours of television and cinema content in behalf of studios and producers from around the globe, including Netflix, Telemundo, Sony Pictures, Viacom, Lionsgate, HBO, TV Azteca, Grupo Imagen and FOX. His background includes eight years as Director of Post-Production for Argos Communications, where he developed an impeccable reputation for technical expertise and devotion to client services. A graduate of Universidad Anáhuac, Arturo began his career as an editor and television producer.
Producer & Post Supervisor
Cyntia joined Cinematic Media in 2018, bringing vast experience as a post-production supervisor and visual effects producer on diverse international productions. Her credits span episodic television, feature film and documentaries, and include projects for IFC Films, Canal Once, UPI, Discovery Channel, Netflix and Amazon.
Cyntia began her career as a visual effects producer with Mexico City-based Ollin Studios. She later spent a combined 14 years as a post-production supervisor with Lejana Films and Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE). Cyntia has been involved in some of the most complex visual effects projects ever produced in Mexico and has twice been nominated for Ariel Awards by the Mexican Film Academy for Best Visual Effects.
OLIVER DE GANTE
Chief Technology Officer
Oliver is responsible for managing Cinematic Media’s technical infrastructure, and developing its long-term strategy relative to technology and innovation. His expertise encompasses IT, pipeline design and software implementation. He is adept at capitalizing on new technologies to improve efficiency, performance and functionality.
Prior to joining Cinematic Media, Oliver was CTO at Ollin Studios, where his credits included the hit films Chappie, Her, TRON: Legacy and The Social Network, as well as the Netflix series House of Cards.
Gabriel is a workflow specialist and digital imaging technologist with 18 years of experience in cinema and television. He works with clients to develop workflow strategies and ensure projects proceed smoothly from the set through dailies, editorial, visual effects and post. Gabriel’s experience includes expertise in stereoscopic 3D. He has managed 3D workflows for films including The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. He also has background as a visual effects artist and compositor with credits on Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Invictus, X-Men 2 and Black Hawk Down. Gabriel teaches technical filmmaking courses at La Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV) and serves as Colorfront’s product manager for Latin America.
Ana has worked as a digital colorist at post production facilities in Mexico City, Barcelona, London, Dublin and Rome. Prior to joining Cinematic Media, she was staff colorist at By the Numbers, a post house run by Postal Pictures, one of Mexico’s top commercial production companies. Ana studied design and visual communication at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México before beginning her career in the publishing industry. She got her start in post-production via the boutique studio Taboo Digital.
Coordinator & Conform Editor
Prior to joining Cinematic Media, Humberto was senior editor at Zenith Adventure Media, where edited the award-winning documentaries Rutas de Tributo, Desde Aqui Namaste and Ice Calling. His credits also included the narrative film 10 Sonatas Para Julia and commercials for G-Shock, Nike and Born Shoes. He has also directed several documentaries, commercials and music videos. Humberto studied filmmaking at Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara and at the New York Film Academy.
"Montse” Carbajal brings expertise in logistics, impeccable communications skills and passionate energy to her role. A graduate of La Universidad La Salle, Montse began her career in the corporate world, serving in administrative and business analyst positions with Loreal, Shell and ITAI. Acting on her life-long ambition to work in film and television production, she joined Cinematic Media in 2018.
